Florida Asian American Justice Alliance (FAAJA) was formed in April 2023 as 501(c)(4) nonprofit status. FAAJA was founded in April 2023 by community leaders from Central, South, and North Florida who shared a common vision of unity and collaboration. At that time, many recognized that Florida’s Asian community, while growing rapidly, remained relatively dispersed and lacked a cohesive platform to connect and engage.
In response, these leaders came together with a shared commitment to strengthen community bonds, enhance cultural understanding, and encourage greater participation in educational, economic, and civic activities. FAAJA was thus established as a unifying organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting Florida’s Asian community through cultural exchange, education, leadership development, and community engagement.
